Here's some cool software I like. I'll be putting other stuff up here soon!

Gentoo Linux: I really don't know where I'd be without it. It's resurrected an old apple laptop I was given and made it an indispensable part of my life. It's also turned an old desktop (also a throwaway) into a full blown DAW (That means I use it to record music…). The control and configurability it offers are simply awe inspiring. It does all the really tedious things for you and yet forces you to understand so much by always giving you choices. In my opinion it's the best distribution to have if you want to really understand your computer.

Openbox: My computers have key shortcuts for practically everything I do regularly and it's all thanks to this nifty window manager. OK so practically no-one but me can use my computer but it seriously streamlines my working experience! It's also lean and mean and fast which is an advantage when you've got mainly old hardware like me.

Lastpass: I have too many passwords for too many things. This sorts that out for me by remembering them. Totally functional and useful although like a lot of web pages things it doesn't entirely work in Internet Explorer…
